Odysseas, the parrot was the companion of Vangelis, one of the guards at the Silk Museum in Soufli, where I conducted photography seminars. He invited me to his home to introduce me to Odysseas. At first, Odysseas was shy and turned his back on me for quite some time, until he finally admitted himself that "Platonakos is a good boy."

Phaedra is the daughter of my students, Panagiotis Markolefas and Anthi Mara, and naturally, she grew up in a photographic environment. It is only logical, then, that she would flip through The New Monologue on Photography, even if at first, she did so backwards, and even more logical that she would watch the seminars alongside her parents. But today, at the age of five, she is capturing the summer of 2024 with her children's camera. I must admit, it moves and surprises me.
